Detox, reduce water retention and cellulite

Manual lymphatic
drainage

Eliminate waste and toxins from your body

The lymphatic flow can stagnate for many reasons, such as swelling, chronic inflammation, too little exercise, too much starchy food, stress and fatigue. Lymphatic Drainage massage is a type of massage that stimulates the system by clearing blockages which removes waste and toxins from your body. A specialised technique is performed using a very light pressure combined with gentle, rhythmic movements in the direction of the lymph nodes which in turn encourages blood flow, boosts the immune system, increases metabolism, reduces under-the-skin puffiness and leaves you with an instantly toned and slimmer appearance.

FAQS

Manual lymphatic drainage treatment is a specialized massage that aims to stimulate your lymph glands, guiding the lymph flow back to the blood circulation, preventing blockages and helping to flush out excess water and toxins.

The session can be done in as little as 30 minutes. You may opt to treat more than one area during the same sitting.

Manual lymphatic drainage is an individualized technique that uses very light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes thus making this treatment quite relaxing, soothing and making you feel lighter and less tired.

Results, as well as number of sessions required, vary on case by case basis however we recommend 6-8 sessions for adequate results.

The cycle of lymph drainage varies from person to person. Immediate results are general lightness and deep relaxation. The fluid drainage can occur 24-48 hours post session. The difference in drainage also varies from person to person, depending on the health of their lymphatic systems.

Some people experience nausea in the initial stages of the treatment as toxins have been pushed around the body. Other temporary side effects with the treatment are dizziness or headaches and mild redness which usually subsides within 24 hours of treatment.

Follow the below guidelines for optimal results:

  • Drink at least 2 litres of water before your treatment and another 2 litres per day following your treatment (soft drink, soda, juice or tea is not water). Drinking water is a necessary part in order to eliminate the fat and will yield optimal fat loss results.
  • Refrain from any alcohol consumption for 2 – 3 days following your treatments. Alcohol can prevent your liver from working to remove fats as it will make alcohol metabolism its priority before fat removal and could hinder your results.
  • Avoid eating 2 hours prior and 1 hour after your treatment.
  • Diet: follow a low carb, low starch, low sugar diet for best results.
  • Exercise: We recommend a brisk exercise for at least 20 minutes within 24 hours of your treatment to stimulate lymph movement to naturally process the fat after the treatment for optimal fat loss results.
